Design Tips

  • Keep it simple: Don't overcrowd your design. White space is good.
  • Use readable fonts: Fancy fonts are hard to read. Stick to clear, simple fonts for body text.
  • Contrast: Make sure text contrasts with background. Dark text on light background, or light text on dark background.
  • Consistency: Use the same colors and fonts across your posts for brand consistency.
  • Mobile-first: Most people see social media on phones. Make sure designs look good small.

Using Canva's AI Features

Canva has AI features that can help:

  • Magic Design: Upload an image, Canva creates designs for you

Pro Tip: Create a template for your brand. Design one post with your colors, fonts, and style, then save it as a template. Duplicate it for new posts and just change the content. This keeps your brand consistent and saves time.

Free users can use designs for personal and commercial use, but some elements (like Pro photos) require a Pro subscription for commercial use. Read Canva's license terms for details.
